I'm back!!!

Well, I've been back for two weeks, but I've been lazy and haven't blogged. Here are some highlights from the past month:

*Went to ID and had a FANTASTIC time! Got to hang out for a couple hours with some of my MOFs, and just in general kick back and relax.

*Went camping in ID for 3 days. We went to Ririe reservoir, and it was so gorgeous!

*Introduced Daniel to fireworks. We got back from camping on the 4th and my SIL brought 2 bags full of fireworks to set off. We sat back and watched the show! Daniel couldn't decide if he was fascinated or terrified!

*Registered for class my last day in ID, and paid $450 for the privilege of taking ONE three credit class (which only goes for a month). Good times.

*Spent 2 days in UT with my family on the way home. We were going to do some awesome things...like go to the Children's Museum, but life had other plans. Well, maybe not life, but my car sure had other plans. Erwin spent a couple hours fixing it (again). At least it's fixed for good now (well, at least that particular thing is fixed for good).

*Got back home on a Saturday, started class on Monday. I'm taking Parental and Family Support in Early Childhood Special Education. Fantastic class! As much as I whined about having to take a class, it's awesome to be back in the classroom as a student. I actually miss that! The hard part is that the class only meets for 4.5 weeks, so even though I've only been in class for 2 weeks (today finishes the second week), we have a midterm on Monday. I'm so unprepared it's not funny! Class is 3 days a week, 4-7 pm. Not too bad.

*I've managed to make arrangements with a mother of a student I taught last year. I was supposed to get him in summer school, but it didn't work out. Instead I'm tutoring him 3 nights a week for 2 hours each day. This means that I have EVERY EVENING FILLED except Sunday. This sucks. Even though there were some extenuating circumstances as to why I never got him into summer school, it doesn't matter. He was supposed to go to summer school, and he's not. So, I need to do something about it. At least it's just for a month.

*I've been cooking again (finally). I've been making double portions of everything I'm making and then freezing the other one. This way Erwin can just pop something in the oven on a night I'm gone when he doesn't feel like making anything, or I can use them after school starts and I'm too exhausted to think about food, let alone cook.

*I've discovered the Grocery Game! It's so fantastic! I've saved so much money already... totally worth the small investment needed (it's a subscription service. Very inexpensive, and completely worth the money!). Check it out! If you decide to register, say that tazzteacher referred you. I'm starting to get back into my penny-pinching ways, and I've forgotten how much fun it is!
